The main reason I moved to NY (aside from it being my dream) is to attend Pratt Institute for my Master’s of Professional Studies in Design Management. After coming across this article in Bloomberg Businessweek I couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief and emotion that my efforts are just and that the pay off will far exceed anything I could have possibly imagined. I am incredibly fortunate and blessed to have been accepted into this program but now I am more than ready to begin the journey and bring my vision to fruition.
So don’t get too comfortable because before you know it my team and I will be running the game!

Whew! Let me wipe my forehead off from all of this sweat accumulated from the New York heat. Normally I’d be in an irritable mood in this type of weather but the fact that I’ve finally made it to New York makes the beads of sweat turn into sweet drops of honey. Ok, maybe that’s a bit far fetched but fuck it, I’m in New York and damn happy about it!
I’ve officially been here for a week and my days have been full of museum after museum, a plethora of delicious meals, late night drinks, unexpected thunderstorms, and waking up every morning with sore calves after walking to the ends of the earth every day. But despite the packed events, I’ve had a few days of not doing a darn thing and I am surprisingly more than ok with it. I usually feel a desperate need to familiarize myself with every nook and cranny of my new surroundings when I travel but I’ve been overcome by a deep feeling of peace and calm by my decision to move here that my surroundings have effortlessly become an extension of myself. I no longer feel the need to see every building or overturn every stone because I know that within time I will be working alongside the decision makers, have reservations at every restaurant opening, and attend the important events.
So for now I’m just going to take a deep breath because I am home.
Hey guess what?! I’m moving to NY!! I know I sound like a broken record but I am over the moon with excitement! So please excuse me if I’m a bit m.i.a. on my blog but moving across the country requires a lot of preparation.
I’m really trying to abide by a more simple lifestyle mentally, materialistically and physically and by physically I mean going a bit more au natur-AL in the beauty department as well. What I’m really trying to say is that getting ready in 15 minutes means the bare minimum. I’m starting to get used to a more natural look and it’s been nice letting my face breath a bit, but don’t get me wrong, I still love getting glammed up more often than not!
